Business Growth
I am Vice-President of a recruitment consultancy in Canada. Without my ABE qualifications I would not have been able to achieve success.

The information below is useful to all students taking the unit Corporate Management in Action at Postgraduate Diploma Level.

From December 2009, ABE will be examining a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management. One of the units in this Diploma is Corporate Management in Action. The question paper includes a seen case study, which students will receive by post about a month in advance, and which will also be available on the ABE website about a month prior to the examination.

On the day of the examination, students will not be allowed to take this case study or any additional material with them into the Examination Hall. However, a copy of the case study will be included in the Corporate Management in Action question paper.

The examination paper will consist of the following:

  • Case Study (same text as the one received prior to the examination)
  • Question Paper (consisting of one compulsory question)
  • Additional Information (unseen information, in addition to the case study)
  • Appendices

When answering the question, the format adopted by the student is not as important as the overall coherence of the answer. The answer should be appropriately structured with a good flow of argument. However, the crucial aspect of the student’s response, at this level, is the depth of evaluation and discussion, and the ability to apply theory to the case study, and not merely regurgitate theories that they have studied. Originality is also sought in students’ responses to this question.
