How do I register?... more

If you are a first-time applicant then you can register online. Alternatively you can register by downloading the New Student Registration Form, completing it and posting it to us together with copies of your supporting qualifications and valid payment of the registration fee. To register online or to download a registration form, please click here.

We regret that online registration is not available for applicants studying and taking examinations in Botswana.

Which level should I register for?... more

The great news is that there are no formal qualifications or experience required if you want to commence your studies at the Level 4 Diploma. Candidates of all educational backgrounds are welcome. Students with qualifications or work experience may be able to start from a higher level. For full details on the entry requirements for all levels, please click here.

What do the 'levels' mean?... more

The levels refer to the ‘level of learning’ required to complete the qualification. Qualifications at the same level are therefore broadly similar (or equivalent) in the level of learning required.

QCF Level Other qualifications at the same level
Level 3 UK 'A' level, BTEC National Cert
Level 4 BTEC Professional Diploma
Level 5 UK Foundation Degree, HND
Level 6 Bachelors Degree, Graduate Dip
Level 7 Masters Degree, Postgraduate Dip

Am I eligible for any unit exemptions?... more

If you hold a qualification from either another professional body or university which is very similar in content and level to the ABE Level 4, 5 or 6 qualifications, you might qualify for exemptions from some of the ABE examinations.

If you wish to find out if there are unit exemptions available to you before you register with us, please send a letter or an email to us enclosing copies of your qualifications.

Exam results are published around two months after the exams take place. The results will be available on your Members Area, and you will also be posted a results slip and any certificates that are due.

Why have I not received my exam results or certificates?... more

Please allow around 3 months after the results are released for the results slip and/or certificate to reach you. If you did not receive them in this time, please log in to the Members Area to:

1. Check that we have your correct postal address. Your exam results or certificates would have been sent to the address that is showing on your profile. If your address has changed please email us to let us know.
