Council

The ABE Council acts as the final decision-making body of ABE in policy and education matters. Like the Education Committee, it comprises people with extensive experience and expertise in their field.

Lord Tomlinson

Following a long and distinguished parliamentary career he was raised to the peerage in 1998. He is a former MP and MEP and serves on various House of Lords’ Select Committees as well as several international bodies.

Benny Abraham

Benny obtained his degree in Engineering from Bangalore University in India; his Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside and his MBA from the University of Wales

Following various posts in India and Bahrain, he joined the London School of Commerce (LSC) in 2000 and for three years worked as International Marketing Officer for the Central and East Africa Region, followed by two years working in Beijing covering the Central and South East Asia Region. He is currently Marketing Director at LSC.

Tim Andradi

Tim Andradi is the Chief Executive, London School of Commerce, UK and a Member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

After obtaining his degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science he did his postgraduate research at Cambridge University

After a period in industry, Tim joined EW FACT, and became a Main Board Director in 1996. In 1998 he resigned from EW FACT and set up the London School of Commerce. He has grown the college into one of the largest and most successful independent sector higher education providers with overseas campuses in Bangladesh, Kenya, Malaysia, Serbia and Sri Lanka.

Mr Baghel Grewal (Company Secretary)

Mr Grewal emigrated from India to the UK, and formerly taught in several UK public sector HE institutions; he also practised as a barrister and immigration judge.

Mr Roy Fenner

Mr Fenner is a former HR Manager and Safety Training Specialist in the petroleum industry; he was a Founder Director of the International Petroleum Management Institution - The College of Petroleum Studies, Oxford.

Mrs Margaret Foster

Mrs Foster is a former ILEA senior officer, and a former trustee of a leading children’s charity.

Emeritus Professor Mike Harvey

Following graduation from the University of Hull, Prof Harvey has held numerous academic posts. After gaining an MSc in Accounting from the London School of Economics, he then held various professorial posts at UK universities, culminating in becoming Professor of Accounting at London Guildhall University.

Prof Harvey has acted as a consultant for governments, professional bodies, universities and colleges, commercial and industrial organisations as well as the World Bank and British Council in over 50 countries. He has been involved in accounting education in numerous ways including having been on committees or boards of: the CNAA; BTEC; a Governor of Cranfield University; the University of Huddersfield Professorial Appointments Board.

He has appeared on radio and TV many times, has written over 12 books, on subjects such as accounting theory, management principles and strategy, some of which have run into second editions, and he has had over 500 articles published in seven countries.

Dr Geoff Lancaster

Dr Geoff Lancaster is the Professor of Marketing and Dean of London School of Commerce which runs postgraduate programmes for University of Wales Institute and University of East London. He has written approximately 40 textbooks on marketing and research methods. He is also the founding Chairman of the Durham Associates Group of Companies, Castle Eden which has received the Queen’s Award for Exporting.

Mr Peter Okaka

Mr Okaka is a former Director of Technical Education in Kenya; now a technical and vocational education consultant.

Dr Ethlyn Prince

Dr Prince is a former Vice-Dean of the University of Guyana and Principal of Haringey College. She is also a Barrister at Law, has served as an Adjudicator and was a former member of the board of governors at Brighton University.
